Naomi Honours – Vox/Sax
Naomi has been profoundly passionate about music since a young age and continues to develop and broaden her musical skills and knowledge to date. Her fortes include Jazz saxophone and singing leading specialisation in Jazz Performance at Bath Spa University as part of her music degree. Currently working as a secondary music teacher. Naomi continues to perform in a wide range of ensembles as a professional musician. She is an outgoing individual who clearly love’s performing as part of a soul function band at various functions and events across the west country and meeting new people.





Matthew Thorpe – Bass
Matt is the driving force behind ‘The Soul Station’s’ low end sound. Playing the bass guitar in the band. A talented musician, Matt works as the head of percussion for Wiltshire music service. He is project leader for a Steel pans ensemble for which he arranges music to bring a little funk and soul to his steel pan shows. During the day, Matt teaches peripatetically around the county of Wiltshire. And is often found in his evenings playing either Kit/percussion or bass guitar for various orchestral ensembles, pop, rock, funk and soul bands and musical theater ensembles. Matt has performed across the Uk and in Europe with various ensembles including ‘The Soul Station’ band.

Matt Davies - Trombone
Matt, who studied music, specialising in trombone performance at university can be found, regularly performing all over South Wales and the West Country in all varieties of music. Equally comfortable in symphony orchestras and classical ensembles as Theatre Orchestras to pop bands Matt has played at some of the countries top venues including The Royal Albert Hall, St David's Hall as well as the Theatre Royal, Bath and Bristol Hippodrome. Matt has also recorded with several Bristol based singer/songwriters as well as recording for a children's audio book company, playing on the soundtrack for their books. 

Jonny Haygreen – Sax         
Since turning professional, Jonny has been involved in a wide range of
musical styles including Funk, Soul, Disco, Jazz, Salsa, Afro Cuban and
more. His playing has seen him involved in studio sessions as well as
gigs and performances across Europe along with appearances at the Royal
Albert Hall, Colston Hall (Bristol), Bath International Music festival
and Glastonbury festival.

Adam Beaumont-James - Trumpet
Adam can be heard punching out the high notes when required within ‘The Soul Station’s’ horn section line up. He has obtained a degree in Music from the Bath Spa University in which he specialised in Jazz performance. He was responsible for organising acts for a Music Festival at the university, which generated a profit for two years consecutively. As well as enjoying playing with a variety of ensembles of all styles such as ‘Latin Band’, Big band and various Jazz groups. Adam has been featured in a number of professional recordings. To date Adam has performed across the Uk and Europe with bands and ensembles with which he has been a part of.

Ed Adams – Sound Engineer
Ed is a sound engineer with a friendly smile on his face. Having engineered at various events during Bath International Music Festival, mixed bands like experimental jazz band Polar Bear, recorded avant garde and experimental music groups like Plus Minus, stage managed at Bloc festival, and recorded and mixed albums such as the Richard O'Brien Project, an up and coming Bristol Band, Ed has what it takes to bring the sound of The Soul Station to your ears!

Holly Sands - Vox
Holly has trained in musical theatre and contemporary music and loves to sing the songs of the Divas. Having performed professionally in numerous No 1 theatres her stage presence is truly outstanding and her powerful yet soulful voice is guaranteed to get the party started!

James Packer – Drums

James is a considerate fellow who can, by his own admition, 'read music like it's a beano'. He takes his playing seriously - although likes to have fun at gigs and can definitely be 'pegged' as the band prankster. Although fun to be around James is always the consummate professional, dedicated and simply loves to play.

Alex Hawker – Keys/Vox
Alex has been playing in bands throughout the South West for the last 6 years, including playing trumpet for Devon ska band ‘The Embezzlers’, bass for Americana band ‘Cortez & the Killers’, vocals for various jazz outfits, a barbershop quartet and now lands on keyboards with The Soul Station! On top of band-work, Alex leads a group consisting of University of the West of England students called ‘Sound of Soul’; a Soul-Choir with 8-piece band keeping things funky. Along with arranging and composing, Alex is a keen music technologist, and studied Creative Music Technology at UWE, graduating in 2011.




Lee Moss – Guitar
Lee has been playing guitar professionally since completing his music degree where he specialized in Jazz performance and composition at Bath Spa University. He has gained a lot of experience performing with various ensembles across the UK and Europe. Playing in a wide variety of styles for Funk, Rock and Soul bands, Jazz ensembles, Musical theater groups and orchestral such as the Mid Somerset Orchestra in which he plays the violin.

Currently, lee is a member of the Registry of Guitar tutors and works as a well established peripatetic music teacher teaching Guitar, Violin and Ukulele in both Secondary and Primary schools across Somerset as well as privately in the bath area.
